About Our Founder
Andrew Ssebuufu
Elshaddai Foundation was envisioned in 2019 by Andrew ssebuufu who was raised by an orphanage at the age of 7 years. Andrew, did not grow up with his parents and was raised under the care of caregivers. Life with no parents was never easy. Waking up in an unfamiliar place surrounded by new faces with everyone telling you it’s your ‘home’ now. Waking up every day with a gut-wrenching feeling of loneliness with children who also feel alone and helpless. Going to bed every night not knowing how many days, weeks, months, or even years you have to spend there without experiencing the love and support of a parental figure. With caregivers and orphans coming and going, no relationship was permanent. But with God’s grace. He managed to stay in school and graduated. The life experience came with the zeal and desire for him to do something big and different for the many other children in Uganda who are undergoing the same experience he went through growing up as an orphan. Therefore, in appreciation to God for having enabled him thrive, he established “Elshaddai Foundation,” (Elshaddai means God almighty) to extend support to the underprivileged and marginalized in society, with special focus on children, girls and women.
I want to raise money and turn the vulnerable children’s center into a golden palace where children feel positive about everything.
